Kayaking and Boating

Groups of all ages will have opportunities throughout the summer to go boating. Campers who have boating experience and can show paddling ability may choose to use a single kayak. Inexperienced boaters or campers who are not comfortable boating on their own will be paired with a more experienced boater or staff person.

Boating will take place in small groups, about 10-15 campers and 3-4 staff.  Lifejackets will be worn at all times. Kayaks/canoes, paddles and lifejackets will be cleaned between use.

Fishing

Fishing trips will be scheduled several times throughout the course of the summer. Campers in groups 3-8 will have the option to sign up for fishing trips if they choose. They will need parental consent in order to participate. Campers who are attending fishing trips may bring their own poles, tackle, and or bait, to camp with them on trip days. Fishing gear will be labeled with campers' names and stored safely in the staff wing before and after use.
